Commissioned works
A commissioned work is something unique and highly personal. Before starting we talk it through so I can understand what is particularly important to you about the subject, and you can have input into how the subject will be represented.
Process
I normally work from photographs. These can be yours, or, if its practical, I’m happy to take them.
Duration
It can be a lengthy process, typically 8 – 12 weeks. I’m happy to send progress photos if you’d like. Some people prefer to wait and have a “reveal” of the final work. Entirely your choice.
Prices
Price depends partly on size, but more on the work involved. We’ll agree a price before starting. As a guide, generally a commissioned work is around:
1,200mm x 750mm - NZ$800 – NZ$1,200
800mm x 600mm - NZ$700 – NZ$900
A deposit (non-refundable) of 30% of the agreed price is required prior to starting the work.
